A LETTER FROM A GRANTEE PARTNER

Dear Wayfarer Partners,

In the midst of incredible challenges across the globe, we in the Wayfarer community stand as stewards of goodness at the heart of resilient communities. Though we share a world with dark shadows of war, racism, inequity in education, housing, healthcare, and more, we continue to stand in our corner of the globe and dedicate ourselves to nurturing our communities, acknowledging imbalances, and working toward justice. Together, our daily efforts reflect the mission of Wayfarer to advance justice, nurture spirituality, embrace community, and cultivate resilience.

At Argrow’s House of Healing and Hope, I am often astonished by the resilience of the women and children survivors of violence that we serve. I witness women who refuse to give up hope and a team that, through their care and compassion, challenges narratives, disrupts norms, and actively contributes to the creation of a more humane world. We acknowledge one another’s humanity, and we walk together on a journey toward healing. The results are human dignity, healthier families, and stronger communities. The ripples of goodness are profound.

Partnering with Wayfarer has become a cornerstone in our work, enabling us to offer a path to holistic healing, address injustices, and foster a lasting impact in our community and beyond. Daily, Argrow’s House provides housing, free holistic therapeutic services, and employment through the Argrow’s Bath and Body social enterprise program. The work is challenging yet beautiful and liberating.

To be a part of the Wayfarer community is to be a part of a movement where “spiritually rooted” and “justice-oriented” individuals and organizations work in love for justice daily. We are heartened by opportunities for collaboration, innovation, relationship-building, shared learning, and the collective cultivation of healthy communities. We find hope in witnessing others’ work for a better world through the Wayfarer network of thoughtful changemakers.

It is my honor to be on this journey with you. I look forward with great hope to continued growth and collaboration within the Wayfarer community. Together, let us continue to nurture resilient communities, foster justice, and share in the pursuit of peace in our neighborhoods, cities, country, and the world.

With gratitude,

Dr. Kit Evans-Ford
